Casa Senhora da Rosa is located in a private farm in a peaceful environment on the outskirts of Ponta Delgada (Fajã de Baixo) on the island of São Miguel, Azores with a very strong natural environment, a factor that characterizes the entire island of São Miguel and called the Green Island. This property has a main house and two apartments carefully designed and decorated with a personalized classical style giving great importance to light and originality. A treat for those who enjoy the small pleasures, provided through the existing architecture, tasteful decoration, quiet and beautiful surroundings and attention to small details.

The Sumaúma Apartment owes its name to the tree that surrounds the house, and that beautifies the entire property.

It is a spacious apartment with 100m2, consisting of one bedroom, bathroom, very large living room with sofa bed and dining area, fully equipped kitchen and a terrace area.

The Mirante loft was built on top of an ancient observatory from the eighteenth century. It has 99 m2 and a 360º panoramic view obtained at the top, offering an unique and special view! It is the only viewpoint of the island that has passed and in this case adapted in a accommodation unit.

AZORES

Situated in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, between continental Europe and the US, the Azores are a group of 9 islands that won the prize of the 2nd most beautiful islands in the world by National Geographic. Its location and unique environmental qualities are turning the Azores into a favourite destination for ‘Nature lovers’. Exceptional characteristics, such as presence of very mild volcanic activity and a unique flora and fauna (including whale watching) have been attracting quality tourism and are turning tourist activity into a priority at this set of islands. The Azores are paradise for nature lovers!!

SÃO MIGUEL

São Miguel is the largest island in the Azores, part of the Eastern group, almost 65 kilometers long and 15 kilometers wide, and with an area of ​​746 km2 that houses more than half the Azorean population: about 180,000 inhabitants. The capital is Ponta Delgada, where João Paulo II airport is located and is on the south coast of the island. A north lies the second largest city, called Ribeira Grande. We recommend to stay a week if it´s the first time you are visiting the island.

What to do?

Many are the options of tours, visits and experiences that the island has to offer! Try to make one of the many rails scattered around the island, take a hot water bath at Poças da D. Beija or Caldeira Velha, and if you prefer to be at sea you can also feel the hot water in Ferraria or Ribeira Quente. Taste a hot tea produced here, at one of the two tea plantations which are the only ones in Europe: Visit the factories, savor the tea and take it for later to remember! Indulge in the idyllic Terra Nostra Park, where you will find not only calmness and tranquility, but also a great variety of unique and special species. And if you visit our island during Summer time please do not miss the opportunity to go to one of our beaches, "jump" in this sea of ​​clean water and amazing temperature! The islet of Vila Franca do Campo is worth a visit, a trip made by boat and you will see the island from the sea! There is no shortage of options to occupy your time!
